ANNOUNCEMENTS

We Remember the Life of John Fleming

Fifty-eight years ago, on January 27, 1967, a front-page article appeared in "The General" under the heading "Inferno Makes The Spotlight." In it were these words; "Not long ago, the teenagers from WHS involved in the Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y programs emphasized the need for a supervised youth activity on Saturday nights. Taking their request to the YMCA, they found support for their plan. The YMCA program committee, headed by Mr. John Fleming, donated the facilities of the "Y" for this public service and gave of their own time and effort."

We are grateful for the part John played in making our childhood wishes come true and bringing such great bands to Wooster: The Music Explosion, Me & The Guys, The Olivers, The Rationals, Terry Knight & The Pack(to become Grand Funk Railroad), The Wild Life, Sir Timothy & The Royals (to become The Ohio Express), The Buckles, The Streys and The Dantes!

A Tribute to a Friend: Shared by Mark Hostetler

"Spence McClarran has passed. He was a great student trainer and always did his best." He will be remembered for his dedication to serving WHS sports teams. His memory remains as he rests in peace.

The link to the WHS Biographies has been repaired. Enjoy reading about your classmates and if you haven't submitted a biography please do so. Thanks so much. DJ

Every Moment Is A Gift

Every moment is a gift, like every breath which comes our way.

Every second, every minute, every hour, leading up to a day; a gift.

And what do we give in return for this gift? A smile, a hug, a handshake; some gesture of goodwill?

Perhaps if we could, let us pause to consider a moment of silence; and then breathe in deeply, and exhale ever so slowly and give thanks we've made it this far.

Submit Your Biographies!

The reunion committee hopes you have enjoyed reading the post HS Bios of several of your classmates. This is a new and on going feature of our class website. We encourage you to add yours. Those already submitted are all good examples to follow. Please submit a rough draft along with photos you care to share to me, Bob Yund email (rkyund@gmail.com), and we will work with you for a final submission subject to your approval. My daughter, Kristi, is gifted in her ability to put it all together for you. We are all looking forward to hearing your post HS journey. Thank you in advance!

I added a link to our Class of '67 Biographies (front page, left column). Thank you to Kristi Stovall for all her work in making this happen. A shout out to Bob Yund for facilitating. Please, if you haven't submitted your biography, you may do so by sending directly to Bob @ rkyund@gmail.com. We want to continue updating these bio's until we meet again, whenever that may be. Have a great new year! DJ

THANK YOU TO ALL CLASSMATES!

Last evening we held our 55th Class Reunion! By all indications it was a big success. So many people helped make it a memorable evening. A hearfelt thank you to all who made our reunion possible. Today is a clean up, pack the car and be sure nothing is left behind. The memories of the evening are with all of us. Will keep in touch until the next time we gather. DJ
