February 12, 1999 - Rodney Shoup,50, died at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and had lived in Aiken, S.C. He was a retired electrician. Rodney was survived by his parents, a daughter, a brother and three nephews.

Rodney and I were friends back to grade school. Always a nice person. A wonderful smile. Growing up with out him would not have been as much fun. Wayne Elementary closing brings back so many memories. God bless.
